Rock Creek: People-Powered Restoration

Our nearby national park is nearly twice the size of Central Park, home to the District's only endangered species, and provides recreational opportunities for millions of us each year. Join Jeanne Braha, executive director of the park's friends group, Rock Creek Conservancy, to learn how we can all be stewards of our beloved natural oasis.

As Executive Director of Rock Creek Conservancy, Jeanne provides strategic direction and operational management for the Conservancy’s unique model of people-powered restoration. She brings expertise in park partnership, conservation, and community engagement, including past roles at the Student Conservation Association, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Alice Ferguson Foundation.

Jeanne holds a Masters of Environmental Management from Yale University, a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a concentration in Environmental Studies from Bryn Mawr College, and a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University. Jeanne is a regular user of Rock Creek Park’s trails.
