Part 1: From 3-4 pm, representatives from several faith communities and organizations with a mission specifically focused on serving older adults will convene to:
- Provide a brief description of what programs and services (both formal and informal) are offered to older adults
- Ask questions of one another about services & programs offered, how services are undertaken, length of service, status of programs during the pandemic, etc.
- Form the basis for future collaborations, referrals, and training of direct service volunteers or staff
All faith communities or organizations that serve older adults may also attend, so please feel free to spread the word about this important event.
Following the symposium, Cleveland & Woodley Park Village will compile a resource directory with a brief description of programs and services offered by each faith community or service provider and their contact info. Training materials from the second part of the program will be made available on our website (www.CWPV.org) and quarterly training will be schedule, either virtually or in-person. The cost of the training is free and open to all who wish to participate.
