Do You Have Too Much Stuff?
Are you or your parents or grandparents considering downsizing? Or do you simply feel you have more belongings than you need or even want? The Washington Ethical Society’s Aging with Intention group invites you to join us as we explore our relationship with our stuff.
We’ll have two discussion leaders:
John Sener is a long-time resident of the DC area during which time he and his family managed to accumulate a lot of stuff. In 2014, he decided to try a different approach to decluttering by doing it mindfully with the aim of developing a healthier relationship with his stuff. The 1,000 Things Projects were the result.
Peggy Goetz is a long-time WES member and former Sunday School Director. As a Professional Organizer, she helps people to downsize and simplify their stuff.
We hope you will come, ask questions, and share your own experiences and strategies. Refreshments will be served.
When: Sunday, September 22, 2:30-5:00
Where: Washington Ethical Society, Social Hall, 7750 16th Street, NW
This is a free program, but we ask that you RSVP to juliecampbell@aol.com so that we have enough chairs and refreshments.
