The DC Office of Planning (OP) and DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) invite you to join a Community Conversation on Saturday, September 21st from 1pm-3pm at Ron Brown High School.

This event will be an opportunity for residents and organizations to learn and provide feedback on our response to the Mayor’s bold goal to build 36,000 new residential units by 2025 and engage with our findings from listening to residents across the District.

OP and DHCD launched a resident survey on the current distribution of affordable housing in the District earlier this summer. The survey allows residents to share their input on where the District should prioritize new affordable housing to accommodate both new and long-time residents. We urge residents to take the short survey before it closes on Friday, August 30th

During the Community Conversation, we will share findings from the resident survey and community engagement activities and highlight the District’s approach to furthering fair housing. The event will consist of presentations from District agencies and ask residents to provide feedback through small group discussions.

Interested residents can sign up for the event here. We hope to see you there!
