RESCHEDULED DATES! Now holding our winter Wise Aging Seminar from February 6-March 26 at Cleveland Park Library.

The Wise Aging Seminar Series, led by trained facilitator Harriett Stonehill, is designed to initiate key conversations in a small group about addressing the challenges and opportunities of aging. The seminar series is based on Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit by Rachel Cowan and Linda Thal. Learning modes include contemplative listening and speaking, mindfulness, movement exercises, reflection and journaling. Discussion topics will include:

* What is special about this stage of life
* Having a positive relationship with your changing body
* Revitalizing and nourishing healthy relationships
* Forgiveness and reconciliation
* Cultivating spiritual qualities for well being
* Learning to live with loss, change and death
* Leaving a legacy

The program consists of eight weekly workshops held on Thursdays (Feb. 6-March. 26) from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Cleveland Park Library second floor conference room. This program is free, and suggested audience is age 55+. No registration is required, but attendees are encouraged to participate in the entire series of eight classes. For questions or to put a copy of the book on hold, please call 202-282-3080.
