5:30 Wine tasting at Weygandt Wines (3519 Connecticut Ave., NW)
7:00 Talk at Cleveland Park Library (3310 Connecticut Ave., NW)

People are thinking more and more about the impact of airplane travel on the environment. Come hear the adventures of one couple that traveled around the world in four months without flying.

During their 54-year marriage, Woodley Park residents Embry and Joe Howell have visited some 50 countries. In 2015, Embry got the idea of traveling around the world without flying. The couple traveled by train across Europe, central Asia, and China, and crossed two oceans by ship. Hear about the planning, surprises, and insights they learned along the way.

Prior to the talk which takes place at 7pm at the Cleveland Park Library, Weygandt Wines (3519 Conn. Ave., NW) will host a special wine tasting from 5:30-6:30 pm. Taste two whites and two reds from Austria, Italy, France, and Spain and get 10% off mix-and-match cases of the featured wines.

These events are part of Tuesday Talks, brought to you by the Cleveland Park Business Association and the Cleveland and Woodley Park Village, in collaboration with the DC Public Library. Each talk will take place at 7 pm at the Cleveland Park Library at 3310 Connecticut Ave NW.

These events are free and open to the public. Seating is on a first come first serve basis, so please come early to get your choice of seats. RSVPs are strongly encouraged.
