Knowing the Story of Your Food - A Journey with Soupergirl

Speaker: Sara Polon, Co-Founder of Souper Girl

Soupergirl Sara Polon discusses the story of your food - from the field to the plate - and everything that goes into the journey. She'll cover topics such as the importance of seasonal eating, mindfulness, and food justice. She'll also cover some healthy eating tips that can help you through the dark, winter months!

After studying history at the University of Pennsylvania, Sara’s career path took many meandering twists and turns including working at an Internet start-up, leading tours through the Middle East, and several years as a stand-up comic in New York.

In 2008, she co-founded Soupergirl along with her mom, Marilyn Polon (aka Soupermom Chief Anxiety Officer). The duo is on a mission to change the world, one bowl of soup at a time. Sourcing seasonally from sustainable farmers, the company
makes a wide variety of healthy, kosher, all-natural, plant-based soups that can be found all over the east coast. You can find Soupergirl products at Whole Foods stores from Kentucky through Virginia, Giant Delivers, Lidl, Wegmans, and Costco. The company also ships their soup nationwide.

Soupergirl has received national press, and has been featured in such publications
as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Food and Wine, O Magazine, and more. The soup has been featured on ABC's Shark Tank, NBC's Today Show, and CBS’ The Dish.
