DC and the Covid-19 Recovery: Economic, Political, and Social Takeaways
Speaker: Shelley Tomkin
While the city appears to be past the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic from a public health standpoint, the economy and the job market have a long way to go. How soon will offices, restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues bounce back? Is the housing market recovering or slipping further? Dr. Shelley L. Tomkin will discuss economic, political, and social projections surrounding the COVID-19 recovery in the District of Columbia.
Dr. Shelley L. Tomkin is a political activist, former Chair of the Ward 3 DC Democrats, Professor Emerita of Political Science at Trinity Washington University, and the author of Inside OMB: Politics and Process Inside the President's Budget Office.
