Art class
This class is intended for DC Residents age 60 plus.

Wednesdays, Sept. 11 - Oct. 30 - 2:30-4:30

In this drawing class, students will be exposed to the importance of observation in drawing still life, landscape, and figure. Students will practice depicting the shape of objects, their proportion, perspective, the use of “light and dark” in modeling subjects, and ultimately capturing “the gesture of life” for each subject. This class will be useful for the beginner and will serve as a refresher for more advanced students to get back into the joy of drawing. Bring a 18” x 24” newspaper print pad. Some paper will be available for those who don’t bring pads.

Register with Jay Sambasivan at jayanthi.sambasivan@dc.gov
