Join us for a small group tour of the assistive technology available at the Tenley-Friendship Library!
Library staff will provide members the chance to get hands on learning on library assistive technology and other services DC Public Libraries offer. The goal is for participants to leave feeling confident in how to use everything on their own the next time they come to the library.
We will start with a tour of the library including a demonstration of the magnifier. We will then move to the meeting room for hands-on demos of several library services:
- Audio Loops, Ubiduo, and Pocketalker hearing assistance devices
- JAWS/Zoomtext magnifying devices
- How to log on for future use with a library card
- Intro to using your library card for online resources - Libby, Library by Mail and DC Talking Books
