NNV Board Members Monica Knorr and Linda Lateana will walk you through the documents necessary for making your health care wishes known in the case of an emergency or prolonged illness. Monica and Linda will review the File of Life, MOST form, and the My End of Life Wishes workbook created by Compassion and Choices.

This two-part program is designed to help introduce the documentation, provide opportunities to fill out forms, answer questions, and provide follow up support. 

Please plan to attend both sessions:

  • Monday, November 3rd, 11 am
  • Monday, November 10th, 11 am

About Monica and Linda:

Monica Knorr has an MSW in clinical social work and an MA in gerontology. She has worked with older people in several capacities. Currently, she is active promoting end-of-life planning and she serves on the board of End of Life Options DC, a local NGO that educates patients and physicians about medical aid in dying (MAID) and is actively working to protect the DC law. Monica recently completed training as an end-of-life doula and she works with patients who are terminally ill. Monica has been on the board of NNV for four years.

Linda Lateana has been an advocate for older adults and the services that support them for over 40 years. She is a former licensed clinical social worker and former licensed nursing home administrator, preceptor, and mentor. Linda has served on state association and non-profit Boards and currently is a volunteer, Supporting Member, and Board member of Northwest Neighbors Village.
